How Do Invisible Dog Fences Work?
The Control Panel transmits the signal similarly to a radio station, typically installed in a central yet discreet location, such as your garage.
1. Control Panel
The digital radio signal from the Control Panel is transmitted through an insulated cable that’s discreetly buried around your property.
2. Cable
The Control Panel generates a signal field around the buried cable, forming a protective boundary for your pet. This signal is detected by your pet’s Collar Receiver, ensuring they stay safely within the designated area.
3. Signal Field
4. Collar Receiver
The dog wears a specialized collar that connects the system, forming a secure, invisible boundary with the buried cable wire as the boundary.
When your pet approaches the signal field, the collar receiver emits an audible warning tone followed by a gentle static correction, reminding them of their boundary. The correction level is tailored to your pet, providing a safe and effective reinforcement of their training.

Traditional Electric Dog Fences
Traditional Pet Fences
Traditional fences sold by most companies only have a 3-6 foot boundary that can be jumped by a fast moving dog.
Once the dog breaks out, the boundary prevents him from returning home, potentially stranding him in an unsafe environment.
Pet Shield’s Superior Technology
Our Infinite Boundary systems
Pet Shield’s Infinity Boundaries prevent all “break-outs” - no matter how much of an escape artist they are!
Plus, they give your dog more room to play as the boundary doesn’t start until the wire.
